I used both. When I got the MWGel hair (DAZ retail product) scaled as short as I wanted, there were poke-through problems, so I also added the Crop hair, using the same map, as a second parented prop to cover the exposed bald spots.. Embarrassed to say that I cannot find the original DL of what I referred to as the Cropped Hair (that may not even be the authors original name for the item). but essentially any skullcap type mesh would have served the purpose. (& if anyone recognizes the shorter hair mesh above please clue me in.)
