Well, for Posergamers I know that Homestead has deleted any files that exceed their bandwidth, though they don't say what that is. They've also deleted my zips in Free Stuff. Right now both John Malis (Posergamers) and I are in the process of relocating and a new site url will be announced by next weekend hopefully. I know that bebop has had problems with them in the past so it could be that his files were also deleted again or that the server is busy and you'll have to try again.

I had this problem too. I noticed that when i use a public proxy instead of my direct connection, i can download without any problem. So it appears that Homestead blocks certain addys (non-US ones ??)

Yeah, I'm having continual problems with homestead. I have two sets of items in freestuff, one set at my homstead page and one set being hosted for me by Neil of Digital&Sparky from before I had a host page. The cahracters and items on mine seem to work fine, the one at Neil's we continually have linkage problems with. Only difference is that I'm in the US, and Neil is in the UK. You mean that Homestead delets stuff from non US sites because of bandwidth? Crap.

I'VE ALREADY MOVED THE ORGANIC DRESS SO HOPEFULLY NO PROBLEMS THERE. I'LL TRY AND GET THE REST DONE AS TIME PERMITS. I'VE DEFENDED HOMESTEAD FOR A LONG TIME BUT THINK I'VE HAD ENOUGH NOW. IT'S NOT A PROBLEM OF DELETED FILES, THIS TIME, A FRIEND WHO LIVES ABOUT MILE AWAY (IN THE UK) CAN DOWNLOAD MY FILES NO PROBLEM BUT I CAN'T AS OF LAST WEEK. BEFORE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. SORRY I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Well I-Drive worked for 10 minutes. They obviously don't like people using their services either. Does anyone know a place where I can store all my zip files for easy access for everyone?

Unfortunately, a lot of the "free" services that all these "free websites" have offered is slowly coming to an end. It has been progressively rolling through a lot of web providers and many have in fact been going out of business. Big ones like Homestead, Geocities, etc. are "tightening up" their business models- meaning everything must pay its way. If you visit the Internet News websites you will find this will be continuing in 2001... Best bet is to register your own DOT.COM (which really isn't very expensive these days) and make it basically pay for itself- or else, team up with other websites that are already set up like that...

MySpace.com might work. it's a shared folder thing, so no one can change your password - like at free drive. But I think you have to sign up before you can access someone elses drive.

Have you looked at posermail.com, or it's host company http://www.excelland.com ?
