If it is a typical gaming system you're working on I'm not surprised. Typical gaming systems pack a whopping DirectX graphics card (with lousy OpenGL support), a fast CPU, an overpowering sound system, with a relatively small hard drive and a tiny amount of RAM (512 MB or so). For Poser you're better off with a good OpenGL graphics card, a larger hard drive, and at least 1 GB of RAM. A fast CPU certainly helps. AMDs tend to perform better with Poser than Intels. I run P6 SR1 on an Athlon64/4 GB RAM/ 430 GB disk space. And it could render 8 V3s, all with different hires textures and different hires hair, without locking up.
