While its fun to experiment, which digital allows you to do to your hearts content, I don't feel there's really any purpose/focus to this image! Some may consider it a cool kinda abstract, but this "effect" is more of a ooops shot(IMO), which can easily be recreated by moving the camera while using slow shutter speeds. I've got a bunch of this kinda stuff! Nightshots that I had tried handheld, causing the light trails and blur! This was before I started luggin my tripod with me! You can do some wicked captures...painting with light, just by setting up a tripod and messing around with slow shutter and a small LED flashlight! I've included an example of using a tripod with a 15 second exposure just to give an idea of other possibilites! Here I captured the car lights and the movement of the clouds! Again... there's nothing wrong with experimenting! That's how we learn new ways of doing things! My 2.5 cents! Joe
