I like the idea, Jon. For me, reading something is not just an intellectual exercise, but a view into somebody's heart and mind, and often life. I, for one, would like to know who wrote what, because that connects me to the person, and not just the writing, and I'd like people to know that what they're reading was written by me, as well.
