- You should just be able to copy the RAW files over to your Hard Drive. I suggest making a special RAW folder for them. Maybe another Canon owner can be more specific. 2. 16bit = a lot more image info (and quality) but with a higher memory cost. Do as much work on an image in 16 bit before switching over to 8bit. Not all programs work with 16bit files and some have limited use (as you have found out). For final output online and for print, 8bit is fine. (IMHO) 3. ICC is an embedded color profile.
