well here's one link on when to use model releases i think i had given you something to think about would be a backdrop you can rig up fairly easily, material, something to pose them on.. google for portrait photography or go check at your local library & look at the set ups they use.. guess it depends how involved you want to get.. an off camera light source would be good too... all depending where the shots will be taken... go & check out the dance studio where they practice beforehand don't worry, tween the 2 of you it'll be a great "creative adventure!"
