Subject: Need Commercial info

WarriorDL ( ) posted Tue, 27 February 2001 at 8:07 PM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 10:00 PM

This is for you folks who have Poser model stores, ie Daz3d, BBay, etc. I need info on how the stores are doing, business wise. Is the demand as high as expected? Are the sales as expected? No "accounting" info is requested, ie how much you make, etc. Just the basics of whether or not all is going as expected.

WAY beyond expectations! :o) Bill BBay.com

I'm pretty new to the store and I don't do models (not yet) but my eye textures for Victoria have been out since Feb. 9 and I have sold 11 . I don't know if thats good or not compared to the rest of the items but it's a start .

Thanks, guys :o) Anyone else with items for sale in one of these many stores, or the "admins" of these stores?

ookami ( ) posted Wed, 28 February 2001 at 12:02 PM

As a customer, I give you my perspective. My first stop is always BBay. You can't beat their customer service and I have never had a problem with them that they didn't go out of their way to resolve!

I sell in the renderosity store, my sales are quite high. Incidentally, I don't think that anyone will give you actual figures, too personal etc:) (markm, above, excepted:)

WarriorDL ( ) posted Wed, 28 February 2001 at 12:42 PM

I said none of that info was requested anyways, so I'd hope they don't :o)

pdblake ( ) posted Wed, 28 February 2001 at 12:51 PM

Well in that case:) It's going very well, I'm selling much more than I expected. I have quite a few products out now and most of them sell really well.

BBay & DAZ have been very, very good for me!

WarriorDL ( ) posted Wed, 28 February 2001 at 2:36 PM

Now another Q- Can anyone list ALL of these stores w/URL's? The reason for this is two-fold: 1. I want to create a stores link section on my site. 2. I am thinking of selling some of my own created stuff.

Sorry Warrior, but it's not permitted to sell Star Trek stuff. And you are not allowed to spend time on anything else. ;-)

I try to keep a current list on the Links->Stores section of my site, if anyone cares...

agate88 ( ) posted Fri, 02 March 2001 at 1:37 PM

Just to comment to Jim Burton, not to take anything away from the online stores you are selling at, but the reason you are doing well is because you make some kick a** stuff.
