kimariehere, at a high school football game some years ago a woman I did not recognize said she had something to show me the next game. She did. She pulled out newspaper clippings from some 20 years prior! These were ads using a beautiful young model. The photog was me...I had forgotten all about it. We used film and I thought for some reason to use the lens on the cam at a "telephoto" range, losing dof behind her. I was totally surprised how good the shots actually were! I suspect that you QUALITY AND POV OF IMAGES is what caught the eye of the paper. I would think they will take time to get you familiar with the equipment they have since they want "what they saw" in your images. They cannot train that into anyone! That is YOU and that is what they saw. If they have good sense(some business folks simply do not see the future picture, unfortunately)they will take the time to get you going with their stuff. The hard part will be keeping your perspective as it was in what impressed them in the first place. It is so, so, so easy to feel you have to change somehow when given responsibility. I suspect they want just what they saw, not a "changed" you. That might be more difficult than learning new cams. Best wishes and blessings in this! wonderful! Tom.
