After looking at so many images with sun rays coming in through windows, doors or openings in walls and roofs i thought i would try doing something like that. At first i looked at Rochr's tutorial and thought ok, easy for him to do so why can't someone like me do it. Here is what i have so far, quick render so i could practice the sun beam/s

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

That looks really good so far. You could try adjusting the edge softness to diffuse where it hits the ground.

Looks very "sun on dust" misty, nice. Do you have a link to the tutorial?

sure di Fran, use this one then click on tutorials and then click on sunrays...mine is exactly like his because i don't have the radial lights inside the room area.

Thanks. You know that looks like his Great Hall Masters series to me... or something very similar.

You want to make the edge a bit softer, but you've made a great entry into Brycean lighting!

Yeah edge softness and maybe softshadows too,....of course that'll increase render time.

I hate soft shadows - means it'll be a day before you can even tell what difference it makes.
