And another showing Flatford Mill one of the mills owned by John Constable's father. My posting of yesterday - the photograph was taken from the spot John Constable must have stood in when he painted The Haywain. The view looks a little different because rising sea levels have made it necessary to build up the banks on the far side blocking some of the view across the fields. The cottage shown is Willy Lotts cottage also featured in many Constable works.
