Try this simple way: 1) Fill the background layer with black&white radial gradient 2) Go to filter-render-difference clouds, press CTRL+F to repeat filter until you see the map that you like. 3) Go to filter-blur-gaussian blur and enter 0,2% press OK. 4) Go to image-adjustment-treshold the image should become black and white, press the down arow and you should get nice natural roads. 5) Duplicate the file by going to image-duplicate and invert it by pressing the CTRL+I. The trick is that one file is youre road and another is mountain around it that match perfect. 6) Make that elevation map on 512x512px, you can enlarge the resolution later in bryce on 1024x1024px or higher.
