Hmm..there used to be a site called 'stupid laws' which had a lot of these, broken down by state and country.
On a lighter note, before PT Barnum got his circus business going, he had a downtown (NYC) 'museum' (the origin of 'this way to the egress'..;), and to advertise it, at one point he paid a farmer to plow his field with an elephant..over and over again..said field was right next to the passenger railroads..;)
