I'm really out of touch with the Poser market - how new is this millenium horse? I bought one a couple of years back. Is this the same one? Thanks!

Just slogged through the chaos of DAZ's store. Someday, perhaps, they will extend that moment of candor at the Forums and add "Beta" to their store title as well. Shopping at PoserPros, RDNA, ContentParadise, and even R'osity is much easier. Anyway, as near as I can tell, the Horse is 25% off, but the Bundle is not. More to the point, did they ever fix the horse? Paying $50+ for a Hong Kong Breyer knockoff is a bit much. After being burned on the MDog (which most vets would have put to sleep), and reading the critiques of MThis and MThat since, I'm wary of DAZ 'animals.' The Horse page comes up with NO larger images and a link to an "In-Depth Review" that is conveniently (assuming it was indeed "in depth") no longer available. The Paint in the only picture looks, appropriately, as if its mane is painted... on a piece of canvas. The Bundle page (with no sale price) adds a few horses, but still no additional images. The Shetland Pony looks like it was drawn by a bored child (or is that an authentic Shetland goiter on its neck?), and the "skeleton horse" appears to have ribs in its loins. What did they do to make the Draft Horse, stick a hose in its mouth and pump it up? I'll stick the the Charger, I think. Getting 25% off for a bad model reminds me of the old joke: "The food here is terrible!" "I know. And SUCH small portions!!" M

Shame on you Mickmca :( Please don't bash :) Some of us happen to like the site and their products. It's obvious you aren't a Daz fan, so why do you torture yourself, by coming in and reading about them? Feeling as strongly as you do, obviously there is no need to step into these types of threads, especially those that are clearly labeled "DAZ" or "Platinum Club".

I was debating about this package. I have the millennium horse and just love it, but that foal is all too tempting. So I splurged and got it :) I have a list that is growing of things I want to make in the way of tubes. At this rate my friends and family won't see me until spring thaw!!! LOL

Question.... How do you install part 2 of the package? It doesn't have an .exe extension when I download it. And when I change it to .exe, it gives a standard .exe icon and doesn't work.

Leave part 2 named just as it is. Click on part 1 to install and it will pull and install the files from part 2 automatically.

Shame on you Mickmca :( >> Please don't bash :) It's a fine distinction, bashing versus making sure people have the whole story. The MHorse was met with howls of derision, as was the MBigCat package. A number of people --including myself-- made some very exact complaints about the MDog, which were never addressed. It is flawed enough that I never use it. If you re-read my post, I think you will see that while it is obvious that I don't have any affection for DAZ, the questions I ask about the "big deal" are the kind any sensible purchaser should be asking, if they aren't too DAZzled with "personal promises." The previous post is not "bashing"; it's as close as I get to nice.... And that's not a flippin' quarantee, it's a rillly personal promise. Rilly. ;) M
