Thank you all so much for all this help. It seems to me that there 'has' been problems with the archival paper but I have a feeling that the amount of problems that have been reported may make it apear more than it actually is. I would imagine that the vast amount of people that have not had this problem haven't stood up and said so. The 2000p is a little too expensive for us at the moment. I checked out the 1290 and couldn't find it on Epsons USA site. It is called the 1280 here. It seems that it uses the same paper. From what I have read the same problems exist. Thanks again everyone.
