When I said PHP doesn't allow it I mispoke. I meant PHPBB2 "Specifically" doesn't allow it. Thanks for pointing that one out SVDL. As Khai said, though it sounds harsh and critical, it's true. If you don't protect yourself with multiple passwords for multiple sites, you're the one opening yourself up for identity theft. You can mistrust freebie hosts all you want but it's not their job to protect you from identity theft. It's yours. My point still remains valid. Requiring registration helps not just the freebie hosts, it helps the community at large. If we all did away with registration for freebie sites, the bandwidth theft alone would kill any halfway decently sized freebie site. Less freebie site means fewer freebies for you and I. And what's wrong with someone putting a forum on their freebie site where people can actually talk about the freebies they're enjoying?
