Go to My Computer, explore to a directory where you have .pz3 files stored, right-click on a .pz3 file, on the fly-out menu which appears select "Open With", on the sub fly-out menu select "Choose Program". This window will appear.
Select Poser 6 as your associated program for .pz3 files. That should correct at least the first part of your problem. BTW - the computer that I'm on now doesn't have Poser installed, otherwise I'd have shown Poser in the sample.
