I dont know about conforming clothing but I have just done a tute on converting dynamic cloth from one figure to another.

it works pretty well, here is a piccie of miki in a skirt i converted from jessi. It isnt a good render but you get the idea.

There are also tutes on converting conforming cloth to dynamic ehich will broaden the possibilities.
