Blue... Well, yes, what Fran said (that's probably the "sapphire" blue..) But blue can also be gloomy ("The Blues")... It can be the colour of shadows on snow under a Blue sky, (also shadows on clouds, especially if seen from an aircraft).. Blue Lagoon; Blue Danube...(both mainly due to sky reflections)... I'm beginning to see a trend here... :-)) OTOH, There's also "Mr Blue Bird" and the irridescence that comes from a bird's wing, or from an oil slick, or from a prism or a rainbow...
