I don't know nothing about Magick, but something is strange: A PICT image is - 512 Bytes of 0's - Pict header (didn't counted the bytes) - Image Data - 0x00FF A RSR image is - 260 Bytes RSR header - Pict header - Image Data - 0x00FF - RSR footer You have joined in my $header the RSR and PICT header, but you defined only a part of the PICT header, information as 24 or 32 bits color is omited. PICT header contain more information following $width, 1, "n"
