There's a Poser 6 demo version. Why not give it a try before you buy? You can listen to endless conflicting and confusing opinions about P5 vs. P6 all day here and on other boards, but in the end, you have to try it yourself to see if you like it. If you can't download the demo for whatever reason, then I guess you're stuck with just opinions. My opinion would be to upgrade of course. P6 is a vast improvement over P5, with added functionality in the material room, lighting, and render control, to name just a few things. I never experienced a memory issue, but I know others have.
