I'm assuming you're working with image textures here, if not then there's not much you can do. There are a few things you can do with image-based textures: Firstly, you could put a placeholder image instead of the real texture in the mat files, and distribute the original image with them. The placeholder would just be a small file saying (for example) "PUT blah1.jpg HERE". The second way is to reduce the resolution of the image files that you are using before putting them into Bryce.
