That, by the way, is the most common res of LCD monitors on sale in Europe. Happy for you that you have a 1600 x 1200 LCD but they are not going to be the weapon of choice for the majority of users. Pound for pound a CRT outperforms a TFT. I have no doubt that technology will advance to the point where there's no discernable difference between the image quality of either and eventually, some kind of flat screen will beat the pants off CRTs but it's not there yet.
