Do i feel bad about it, not anymore after i read posting 148 in that thread that i started there.

I tried to reach out a hand, invite her overhere to this forum, maybe that we could learn a thing or two from each other and that it might help to understand each other, but no way. With hindsight i can now safely say that this was a pointless undertaking.

Posting 148 in that thread is by karen, the moderator of "the Copyright Laws and Ethical Standards Forum", and it makes one thing clear, for DUA copyright and ethical standards was/is something that is for others, but not for herself.

It appears that DUA has left the building, here whole gallery is empty at this moment, but it might take a while before here clones have dissapeared as well.

Wow, trying to revive 2 locked threads in one post. The matter has been dealt with, perhaps it is finally time to just let it lie, eh? Bad blood in the forums makes me sad :(

Holy cow, there's a copyright forum? Is there a "How to find a Job forum"? Now that'll be real useful. ;) I can't imagine posting anything but my own stuff. I'm not interested in doing other people's stuff. Guess that's why Copyright's not such a big issue with me, but I can understand why it is though. Just my ignorance that's all. Phil, you got to post 70? I got to post 15 or so an scrolled down to the end.

I read the whole thing as it was unfolding and I have to say I'm happy with the outcome.

CrazyDawg ( ) posted Tue, 06 December 2005 at 8:47 PM

First time i knew of the copy right forum..thanks Rob for bringing it to my attention. I'm glad of the outcome in that one and for those of you that still think there isn't a copyright on lyrics, think again.. Just ask Britney Spears about it..she was the one that got stung with a law suit over a copyright infringement..she may have changed the music to the song but not the lyrics, silly girl cost her 8.5mil Sorry guys, don't want to start the copyight dispute off here, just had to point that out.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

OK What happened? Could someone post a synopsis?

A certain author whose images were a frequent appearance in Top 20 got caught out in a copyright infringement (posted whole lyrics of asong and the song on her site). Since it was not the first time, either here or other sites, she got banned and the gallery deleted. Less Spheres Over Water in Top 20 now. :-) Everybody rejoices, celebrates, drinks and eats so much they suffer from a coronary. Everybody dies. Oh the embarassment. :-)

Thanks, Erlik! If it's who I think it is, there is justice in the world!
