ongoing discussion about page times at link (and for those that can't get there due to slow server responses:) " thanks to a little addon for Firefox, we can now get accurate page loading speeds for a website.. so.. Ebay.com : 0.160s Freefall (webcomic) : 0.219s BBC News : 1.234s POserforums : 1.320s Caligari Forums : 1.453s DAZ Forums : 2.656s Amazon.com : 5.532s then we have... Renderosity : 11.610 (change to Poser forum) Renderosity : 11.470s (opening new post page in Community center) ....oops. " Addtional: " latest times. I've gone to 80(!) seconds now. " throughout today it's ranged from 2.000 to 120+ thats with user numbers rangin from 1900 to the current 2549 - user numbers have no bearing on page loading times at all. it has been at 2000 users while taking 110 seconds to load a page. then at 2500 users and only 2 seconds. tracert times remain constant to the server at 56-75ms through out. anyone want to guess why this is so random? the only thing I can think of is the database is so fragmented it's cracking up...
