Chuck Evans... Couldn't have said it better myself! ;-) I too have expercienced that.. See my previous post:
Quote - "We're working on it" could mean a number of things here... but actually working on it to fix it? I doubt it. :-(
Diolma "Those other sites. How many of them have a regular number of users in the realms of 2000-3000 on a daily basis. That's a lot for a database server to keep up with... (a quick look just showed me 2420 surfers ... a few mins ago it was 2800+..)" Ok, that is understood.. but they are not resolving these issues because?!?!.... hmmm...
I mean geez... Even my little piddly server at home, that has been running for over 4 years non stop (with the excepting to power outages) which hosts my website, is also my IMAP email server which myself (and my hubby) are connected to right now as I type this, is my FTP server...etc etc.. has a faster connect time. Good grief!
Bigger doesn't always mean better apparently. sigh
I'll spend the RO cough downtime shopping at PP. May not be "as big" as RO, but at least their site runs 99.9% of the time.
Would be nice if all this could actually result in something getting done for real. I mean it's not like RO doesn't have the cash flow to support the upgrades needed. If it doesn't.. then.. huh? what?! What happened to the 50%??
