Okay, had another look, and I've seen some new galvanised metal at Renzland's Forge. They don't deal in sheets though, they just have gates in galvanised... So it was a little difficult to photograph but I could at least see the bits, although not how they react with the light on a large flat surface. It's just the brushing that has 'bump' and not the blobs, they are sort of sunk into the metal. it's been an interesting exercise though, and I'm sure an alien metal would have bump on the blobs, so I can still use it... Oh, and the "ambient channel" is in the pic above, circled in yellow. No alpha here at all, the alpha is only visible when you go from here (see pic) to the "P" for the Pict section - circled in pink for each channel. I use the alpha channel in the pict part of the mat lab for the bump channel.
