I consider myself someone who works with the app, I never called myself an artist. I started rendergods with the idea that artists could find a place to bond and share experience, freely, without any sort of overseeing authority or strict rule book. And honestly, without people like Phil, Xenic, Pauljs, kimpe, Mahray, kitty, ekkie, khai, spinner, flak, vasquez, tjohn and so many others like grams, koruptor, pistos and fb (who might or might not have a specific relationship with 3D), that place would be dead. :)
