So if a scene is complex with lots of content making unseen objects or anatomy invisible would reduce process time. That makes sense. This is good to know. Thanks As for processing it all. It sure seems like it does it all. I had another thought... And if the above is true this probably is to. When I do an area render does it process all of the scene or just the stuff in the area I select? Awhile back in one of my first few scenes I put together, I wanted to see a final quality render & crunching for time I decided to only render 1/2 of the scene. I used the area render. Later, I area rendered the other half & guess what? When the second was done it retained the previous render & I didn't even have to merge the two. Certainly the actual rendering was quicker but it seemed like the process was quicker to. But maybe that was just an illusion. Today I tryed rendering a scene but it failed, telling me it was to big. I had it set at 600dpi I think around 1500 pixels & Final in Firefly. I then tryed to render only half and it to failed to. I ended up kicking down my pixel size and leaving all other settings the same. Which worked. Thanks for the feedback. Scott
