Have you recently moved your computer from one area of the home/office to another? Do you have a cordless phone? See if you have any dead area's around your computer when it is on, like static interference.

Even if your computer has not been moved or the outlet where it's plugged in at has not been changed, try moving it to another part of the house.

The thing on the HDD is a last resort, sectors/kernels go bad, from time to time, it has to do with the magnet technology and how they've been stacked since 1999. A portion of the problem is that aluminum is a Diamagnetic Material and the industry is just coming to grips with this issue. Magnets do eventually wear out, the smaller they are the faster they wear. Sometimes simply wiping the disk will regain sectors. If there is a bad kernel (may show its corrupt but there is no virus) simply formatting the drive will not solve the problem, you must remove the primary DOS Partition (yes I know windows doesn't have dos the term still lives on though)which forces the system to re-initialize the disk drive by formatting the cylinder where the FAT resides. Formatting the drive alone will not remove the FAT and if that is where the problem resides, you won't fix the problem.

Please pardon me if I sound defensive or offensive, I need a memory upgrade from the beta version of Human 1.2 to 4.0 or higher, and possibly an new mother board.

Guess thats what I get for using freeware huh?

LOL
