i've never tried morphing a posed character before so i'm not sure why it would give the error when its posed but not when its in the zeroed position... but i have run across that error before... usually with older models... like the p4horse and vicki1... when i brought it into Zbrush (or converted it to bring into Rhino when i still was using that program) it would give that error it gave you... the only solution i found (although i didn't spend THAT much time looking for solutions.. i just wanted the quickest fix i could find lol) was from Traveler's webpage... if you go under Tutor at the top... scroll down to the Rhino tutorials and click on Morphing in Rhino - The Basics, in there you'll find a download of a program called Compose... follow the instructions to run it through Compose and it shouuuuld be ok from then on.. no errors. i say should because as i said i've never exported out a posed model to morph in any program so i'm not 100% sure this will work for you.I have several saved poses for Miki(she draws an export error in UVmapper on rToe). Anyway, if I use said poses on a new Miki or a cr2, I inevitably get the "incompatable" error. So it was saved in pose. Why? Can't say. Perhaps hitting Miki with a V3 pose earlier on...then saving the bug with the cr2. I'm guessing. Easiest way is to make a fresh pose and re-export. I have gotten this message with V3 too.
Maybee you could load the Zbrush morph back to the original unmorphed object
Export that one an use this on UV mapper...
MoonRose, Many, many THANKS.. That worked. I have heard Compose mentioned many times over the years, but never knew what it was suppose to do. Well I still dont know what it doesbut it does it very well! My workflow mentioned above was a bit simplified, as I actually export several figures, hair, etc, out at one time as one big .obj to work over in Zbrush (then imported into Cinema4d for rendering). Running the obj first thru Compose and saving it fixed all errors and the UVs work perfectly. Richardson, I dont think it is the pose, as I have experimented and just used the obj from the Geometries folder with the same unsuccessful results in UVMapper. Probably something to do with the way ZBrush fixes the nonstandard polygons as opposed to how Compose handles them. It would be nice to know what Compose is doing (and what else it can do), but I am one who finds it unlucky to question success. Thanks all for the responses, SWAMP

Im having a problem applying UVs back on to any of the generation 2 Daz meshes (Vic2, PTGirl, etc.) after they are exported out of Zbrush. Here is my workflow. Export a posed Vic2 out of Poser. Open in UVMaper Pro and export (save) the UVs with Export Group Names and Export Material Names checked. Import that mesh into Zbrush. At this point is where the problem startsI get this message: This mesh contains 40 nonstandard polygons (more than 4 sides). These polygons will be converted to quads and tri-sided polygons. Note:This error message is common when using any of the generation2 meshes in Zbrush, but is not a problem when just creating morph targets from a mesh that was in the default-zeroed position. When I open the exported ZBrush mesh back up in UVMapper, and try to Import the saved UVs, I get the Incompatable facet structure error message and cant apply the UVs. Sooo Am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround? Or is this just not possible? SWAMP (Chuck) Note: This doesnt happen and I have no problems at all when using any of the Generation3 meshes (Vic3, Laura, Aiko3).
