Why? Cos it would cost a fortune to re-engineer a program that (almost) works, from scratch. You're looking at 10-15 man-years work there (minimum), with all those programming specialists to pay. And if they did it properly, to recover the investment, they'd have to increase the price 10-fold... And then it wouldn't sell.
