Hi Folks; Just wish to tell all of you artists / merchants thank you for all the help you have given me in this forum. It's nice to talk to such talented people that don't have their nose in the clouds, and willing to help out us laymen :0) Also I want to plea that you keep supporting Poser Pro Pack with cool stuff too.. Yea, yes I know..don't scold me again for not using Poser 6 .. lol I just happen to be very comfortable with my Pro Pak is all..and actually with all the python scripts about (many free)..Pro Pack works pretty darn good..

I don't intend giving up on ProPack. I haven't made any P5/P6 specific content but I will be adding enhancements to new products as and when I can.

personally, I would be really surprised if a large majority of merchants were abandoning ProPack anytime soon. Poser 4 itself, yes, perhaps, but not ProPack. That little aextra addon includes a lot of addtional functionality not present in Poser 4 that seems to have become the baseline overall, including for conversion to D|S. Silly point of demarcation, I realize, but I personally sorta think that (and will know a bit more early next month after the survey completes, lol).

I started to get Poser 6 last week, but decided to hold off a little longer..don't really feel like learning a whole new set of rules all at once. With ProPack..you can sort of set your pace..just a little more everytime another script is made for it..cheers to the people who write the add ons, and py scripts too :) I wont judge Poser 6 (yet) but I do remember what happened with 5..I stayed away from 5 just by reading what others were saying around here.. I started with Poser 2 when Fractal still had it..gawd what a nightmare..had no clue what that manual was all about..I found it at some department store for like around $90..bought it coz I thought it would be cool to have a program with a naked chick..lol Then I skipped 3 and went to 4..had 4 a long time until I finally added the ProPack..you're right ynsaen. ProPack made all the difference :) I think ProPack is a good stable program..and actually pretty powerful..you all think so too? Glad merchants will still support it, coz I have a feeling in time e-frontier (or whoever has it next) will phase out ProPack.

"...e-frontier (or whoever has it next) will phase out ProPack." Well they already have in that they don't sell it (unless it's under the counter). You can buy Poser Artist (aka P4) or P6 from them. If you want ProPack, it's off to search eBay or someplace alse. Someone was asking about this just a couple of days ago. I guess their thinking is that anyone who would want the features over and above P4 would want P6. Too bad, I think PP is a good alternative for some people's needs/wants.

As a matter of fact e-bay is where I found my ProPack..it's there from time to time.. You just got to watch for it, make sure it's not that educational version, and of course be careful of who is selling it :)
