WOW some thread! Seems like you scared the original poster away:) I bought PoseMagic and I like it a lot. It doesnt completely replace posing in Poser, nor is it supposed to I think. The most common thing to ignore when posing is adjusting the eyes and fingers as it can be quite hard and time consuming, so just the ability to pose the hand, and fingers in one place as well as moving the eyes, makes this product worth the money for me. Hope to see some new and exciting soon from William_the_Bloody. Cheers.

This is very interesting. I noted PoseMagic the day it was released but I have been waiting for feedback. I think the difficulty with posing, for me, is mostly selecting the right body part. I am fed up with waving the mouse around hoping to pick up Vicky/Left thigh and getting Catsuit/Left thigh (or Right thigh) instead. Then when you move on to the shin it's the same. OK, so I end up pulling the body part off the menu, but if PoseMagic will make life easier to pose a whole limb it sounds worthwhile. As for IK, I have it off almost all the time, but there are occasions when it is really fine - which is for poses where the hands or feet are actually fixed. For example, your figure is dangling over a cliff and holding on by their fingernails. Set IK on the hands and you can have them writhe about while keeping the grip in place.

PoseMagic will have dials that work specifically with IK on in Update 2 which will be uploaded to the queue by Monday. -WTB

This really is PoseMagic. Its been along time since I downloaded a Poser related program that really did work, and was just as easy to install and operate. Im still a newbie working with PoseMagic, but I wont be for long. This truly is a quick and easy way for posing your characters. True you can pose your figures using simple Inverse Kinematics within your Poser program. But not to this degrees; if all I was planning to do with my V3 characters was crouch down or raise there arms up in the air then, I would have skipped this program and just keep using what I have. But thats not what I wanted, what I was looking for was a way to quickly and easily pose figures to my own ideas. Dont get me wrong, pre-posed V3s or M3s do make creating images a lot easier, but you have to settle with what you have. And after a while you start to see copycat poses. PoseMagic really does help you to do your own thing. But maybe your not looking for a utility that gives you control over body movement? If thats the case then, this product isnt for you. I believe that most artists will enjoy having the ability to control and create their own poses. And having all of your characters body parts, from head to toe, right there together in one drop down widow, sure does make things a lot better. Bottom line; if youve been thinking about whether or not to take the plunge, think about this; Renderosity does have a return policy and if William the Bloody PoseMagic isnt your cup of tea, just return it. But if youre like me and want to create your own uniquely posed digital people or fine-tune some of those old poses to make them look just the way you imagined them to be, then take the plunge. Youll see the difference in your renders.
