A couple of little tid bits to add. 1.If you are going to add many textures, brushes, patterns or anything under/in the Presets folder, beware; the more you add to the folder, the slower Photoshop will become. If you notice my .PSDs above you will see that they are a very large file and I do not many in this folder. Just create a new folder somewhere else on your comp. and follow the path to it. 2. If you marquee around an object you can add texture, color, or almost anything else you want without having a new layer to deal with, this is a quicky way add what you want. I commonly use the methode to add Sunbeams to a Photo or piece of art using the Color Burn & Dodge tools, after I Laso the area I want to effect. Shhhhh,.... that's suppose to be a secrete!!!
