A few other tricks, assuming you run Windows XP on that laptop: - run "del *.tmp /s /q" from the command line. It'll remove tons and tons of temporary files that tend to get strewn about your disk. If you have more than one partition, run it from the root folder of each partition. - disable the Recycle Bin. - clear your temporary internet files cache. - disable System Restore. It'll free up a lot of disk space. Works only in WinXP. Last resort, if you do this you cannot return your system to a previous state, even when you reenable System Restore afterwards!
