Subject: Poser house windows - free from me.

Hi After a lot of work, I created some windows that seem too good not to share. Yep... so simple... only takes ONE square prop and three adjustments in the materials room. Is the anyway to post them and make them available to others?

I don't think you can share the square if it's using one of Poser Primatives. You can take a screenshot of your material room and post the image here.

Hey! you make it sounds like you can NEVER pose any pictures, props, etc with ANY program you bought. Are you telling me that because I used my poser program I can't give anything away?

If you have a web hosting service you can make it, just zip up the mat, avialable as Renderosity freebie. I do have plenty of bandwidth to host it, as a Renderosity freebie, if need be. http://www.poseruniverse.net/ Richard

What Acadia meant is that you can't share stuff that was shipped with Poser, not rendered/rigged in Poser. You can share Material Room settings, but you can't give away one of Poser Primitive Props, or anything else.

Thanks Vilian, that's indeed what I meant, which is why I suggested just posting a screenshot of his material room settings so that people can use their own primative and his settings.

I don't think one can copyright squares, balls, etc., but one might ask in the appropriate forum. in any case, a pp2 file will only refer to the primitives; it doesn't contain them.

cant copyright a "ball", but can copyright content found in the software program Poser

if it's just a material setting, distribute that. just as you would if it were a latex or metal material. that way people can use it on anything they like.

Just check with CL TOS....But I don't think there will be any problems sharing something you can make in any 3D program....Makeing props with primitive and sharing them shouldn't be a problem....It's done all the time just check the freebie area...

Online Now!

How should you make items with a modeler, if you can't share the models made from primitives of this program. I use all kind of primitives to make models in Cinema 4D. They end up in vertices and polygons. Why should Poser be different. Characters is a different issue.
