Wow...a better response than I could have hoped. Thanks for all your feedback, and for posting your own terrific images. I think all of them would look right at home in your galleries. I thought about this thread yesterday and prepped and image for it...then decided I DID like it as a gallery image and moved on to another...that I felt the SAME way about, and finally decided to post the radio image. LOL! 1. Sheila, of the two, I like the color version better. It is a neat image, but the centering of the object bothers me a little. I think if you shot it more to the right of the frame, it would have worked better compositionally. But what do I know, I wasn't there! The one in your gallery definitly deserves to be there. ;] 2. That's a neat mask Doug and like the perspective. I do agree though that it lacks a little visual pop. Maybe play with the contrast/levels a bit or alter the background as per Richard's suggestion. 3. Jeff, those be some galactic grits. Hmmm, reminds me of a Pink Floyd song about a breakfast... ;] I like it! 4. Richard, those are both excellent both creatively and technically. How could you even ask??? :] 5. Andreas, that is a gorgeous landscape. The white whatever in the back is a tiny bit distracting, but not a big deal. I do think it could use a touch of postwork to give it a little more zip, but I'm not sure how. It is not quite as dramatic as some of your landscapes, but who says they all have to be? Promise me you'll take Grover there when he arrives. ;'] Gallery worthy is a subjective term true. I've raised my personal bar over the years so for me it means an image that creative, technically correct, and interests the viewer enough so that they want to look at it. But then that's me and I'm also perfectly happy looking at others' galleries that have more personal work that is still quite interesting. I am just intrigued by how people express themselves, and ReRo is a great place to explore that. Thanks again, enough of my Stridsberging (blah, blah, blah). ;^P
