"....and sometimes the review is ignored." I'm assuming you mean that the article isn't commented on, but that doesn't mean people didn't read it. I find the constant need for commenting on Renderosity very tiring. The people posting on the galleries want comments, the merchants want comments on their products, the writers on the front page wants comments on articles. I understand the need to know you reached an audience, but I don't comment on newspapers, magazines, television shows, visits to the museums, films, so I'm not likely to comment on everything on Renderosity. I just don't enjoy commenting on things just for the sake of commenting. I'd like to be able to say more than "wow, that's great," but I don't have it in me. I read the parts of the front page, and the reviews when they are about software I use. I don't comment on everything I read, but that doesn't mean that the review has been ignored. I've been using Genetica 2.5 (not the Pro version) since it came out in beta form so, of course, I'll read the review. But other than saying the predictable, "gee, that's good information," so you know the review was read, what would a comment from me add to the review? That may be poor form on my part, but that's just the way it is. It's not personal. I don't write letters to writers of books, magazine articles, or newspaper reporters either. I've never seen a front page versus the forums thing. What I do see is people get isolated in their forums and identify with them and don't always realize there are other places to check out on Renderosity. It's the nature of the beast, I guess, but I don't think it would hurt if the email newsletter highlighted something other than the Marketplace and the Front Page once in awhile. But, as I say, I've been down this road before. I have no expectations.
