I think the advatage is that a number of base faces can be made by the developers and others without anyone having to build a figure and rigging from scratch. I think many more people can build a face then a full figure. The reason I see for interchangeble faces is that morphs and scaling can change a body radically and not a lot of skill is required to work on the body with magnets yet as cobalt dream said, "it might be nice to see a new trend of lots of unique figures instead of one figure, lots of morphs. technically, polygons can be pushed anywhere, but i haven't seen too many morphs that look as different from their base as the differences" and I think this is true on heads... have you ever seen a Michael 2 that doesn't look like Micheal 2? My Eroko face has morphs only for expressions, some better than others but I find the face shape easy to morph with magnets. The eye materials (there seems to be dozens and dozens) are all messed up... I had to remove them and put in V2 eyes.
