People don't like change for a variety of reasons dialyn. Change can be good but it doesn't necessarily mean that what has been changed is better. On a Human Computer Interface Design Analysis the Marketplace would do very poorly. Particularly in consistency but also rather poor in Visibility (Far too cluttered). One only needs to look at the top part to understand what I mean. Even in just that part there are 3 navigational types (Text links, Graphical Buttons, List boxes). No Labelling (What page am I on??? Is it What's New? What's Hot?..). Why is the What's New etc line tabled with a background colour and the line above it is just a line of text? Did anyone at BGondware consult or do beta testing with users on this design? It doesn't look like it to me. Rule number 1 of Human Computer Interface Design which I learnt last year : You(The designer) are not your user.
