However, maybe I didn't understand what you wanted... If you just want to have a book that fits in each person's hand, so you can attach it easily in any scene, youdon't need any special tricks. Bring in a copy of the book for each person, parent it to the hand and adjust, then save the copy as a smart prop. As long as you give each new Prop entry a different name, you can then attach it to the correct Figure any time you want.
