Subject: Collision detection

Does DS have collision detection or =? I noticed I can embed some parts into others. Not desired. Looked in manual for CD...didn't see. Thanks.

No need to think outside the box....

No, or at least not yet. You could make a feature request through the bug report (select Feature under severity).

Wow. So how do you pose certain body parts...like hands on hips?

By eye, essentially. You just have to line them up as best you can. One trick from Poser was to make part of the mesh wireframe and part solid - when the wireframe started to vanish into the solid you had the parts too close: I have a feature request for something like that entered in the bug database, if you want to add a note - http://www.daz3d.com/bugs/view.php?id=9501 - or as I said, you can feature request actual collision detection.
