I have a close-up filter..and it works beautifully. It works just like you said...like putting a magnifying glass infront of your camera. I have a +3 filter...the higher the value the stronger the magnification. I just put in a bid on a set holding +1,+2,+3,+4 and +10...for $20....ebay will be the death of me, LOL. Still dont quite understand the title for this inquiry though....

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?
