I swear by (and occasionally at) MarbleCLAY. Despite some rather aggravating memory leaks which pop up fairly regularly (which is excusable, because it's a free beta), the workflow I get out of it keeps me happily coming back. I use Wings3D, ZBrush, and Silo to add finishing touches to my models, but 90% of the work is done in MarbleCLAY.
