In fact I advise the opposite! 4GBs is the maximum Windows will allow you per partition/disk. Virtual Memory is where your computer goes when it runs out of RAM. You can change this setting by going to your Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance > Advanced. " sigh and Xp 32bit can only assign 2GB per program. sorry, your advice is actually incorrect and the reverse of what you should do. this is a known problem with poser and a known limitation of XP. to go larger than 2GB you need to upgrade to Server or XP 64Bit. Search the forums and the M$ technet.
