Poser 6 is the first version of poser to use hardware accelleration for the general display via OpenGL. IT is not an awesome implementation of open GL, and gaming based information is not applicable in this situation as hardware does not factor into the final rendering. That said, note that it was Nvidia that worked closely with both E-Frontier and DAZ3D in the creation of their respective programs, and that may influence your decision once you are aware that Nvidia and ATI both implement OpenGL support in different ways. In short -- it'll work no matter what card you use. You'll likely have fewer problems with the Nvidia card. Also, don't think you will gain any great benefit from a card with greater ram capability and so forth -- this applies only to the preview. IT has absolutely no effect on shaders, the end result (still or animation), or Ny other aspect of using poser. Just seeing it while you build it. That's all, and it's still even limited there -- shader information isn't displayed. yet...
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)
