hein: It's so simple, I don't know why no one else has thought of it before. 1. Create a plane primitive. 2. Assign a cloud material to the plane. 3. In the material editor, turn on "cast shadows" and "object space". 4. Increase the size of the plane so it's at least as big as the terrain on which you wish to cast the shadows. 5. Move the plane high up in the sky, out of sight of the camera, but between the terrain and the sunlight. 6. Scale the material till the shadows look right. 7. Adjust the position of the plane till the shadows fall on the areas you wish. That's it :) -SMT
