"Image is my attempt to do "Lady Godiva" hair with just dynamic hair. It really didn't work to well. Slowed my computer to a crawl. Plus it was hard to control where the hair fell. I was thinking, maybe if most of the hair was a conforming figure, with a few locks that were dynamic...you might be able to get the right coverage, while still having details like the strands of hair draping over the arm"... - gave me an idea (dunno if it would work, though..).

Instead of a hybrid, how about a "tribrid":

  1. Top of hair (just the top of the head), a smart-prop.
  2. Join that to some dynamic cloth for the main (mane?? - pun) hair in several long, thin strips.
  3. Attach some dynamic hair near the bottom to give the final effect.
It'd be a pig to texture, but who knows?...

Just a thought. If I were any good at texturing I'd try it myself (might even give it a go anyway).

Cheers,
Diolma
