There seems to be definite noises about Poser 7 being due out this year, so it may be worth holding off for an introductory pricing situation. Go check the home website for upgrade pricing between P4 (or Poser Artist as it's now called) and P5 for Poser 6 and make a guesstimate about what the upgrade from P4 to P7 might be. I have P5 and P6 on my machine and I still mostly use P5 because I know where everything is - but I'm slowly getting orientated with P6 and will eventually swap over permanently. One thing is the "delete all lights" script in P6 - Poser 5 and 6 have a habit of not swapping lightsets correctly and leaving a mess of shadowlights and whatnot that you have to delete one by one when in P5. The Set-Up rooms are meant to be more stable also and as said above the spot-render option can be helpful in some situations (depending on how many textures and objects need to be loaded - it only quickens the actual rendering time by limiting the output to the selected area, not the actual loading of scene resources from my experience). There are two versions of the material room available in P6 - basic and advanced. Basic is the default one and it's not too hard to figure out without resorting to the manual. Hope that helps. Look forward to seeing what you do with it, your P4 creations are excellent. Cheers
